In addition to pre-hospital medicine, Paramedics and emergency responders are often placed in the situation of transporting critically ill or injured patient form one hospital to another. Often these patients have received diagnostic studies and or medications/procedures that are not common in the prehospital setting and may be unfamiliar to the provider. This course will discuss basic pertinent laboratory findings that may be useful in caring for inter-facility patients. It will also cover several case-based studies that should help promote critical thinking in the inter -facility arena.
